The founder of Aikido, Sensei Morihei Ueshiba, was born in Japan on December 14, 1883.

As a young boy he started training hard and achieved high degrees of styles as jujitsu, fencing and spear. Despite his impressive track record, he was not satisfied & so, throughout his long life he developed what we know today as Aikido, a Martial Art that guides us to find inner balance, strengthen & learn control of our body & to increase our chi/ki.

Once a solid fundamental understanding & technical capability has been acquired, Aikido gives the confidence & ability for self-defence.

Classes for children (under 13yrs) are held at Prestfoss barneskolen on Thursdays at 17.30 – 18.30, followed by classes for adults (13yrs & above) starting at 19.00 – 20.30.
